Despite rising interest rates and other challenges facing the Phoenix metro housing market, there were certain zip codes in the region that got a lot more love from buyers than others. AZBigMedia recently reported that zip code 85412 in Cave Creek came in at the top of the list for hottest home sales in 2022. To determine the rankings, OpenDoor analyzed the total number of homes that went under contract within 90 days of listing in 2022.
Driving the trend across much of the nation is a propensity for buyers to seek out communities with a small, hometown feel, but close to big city commerce centers. Buyers want access to all the benefits of being close to a large metro area, but they also want the connection that comes with smaller communities. For this reason, many of the Top 10 neighborhoods were in small communities such as Sun City, Goodyear, and Buckeye, among others. You can view the full list and other details at AZBigMedia.
